Although we have been told how to use and handle equipment in previous units of work, Mickey gave us a refresher lesson on the dos and don'ts of handling equipment.

We learnt how to make the tripod stand properly without falling by using the security clips in the middle and bottoms of the tripod legs. We were told how to secure the camera correctly in to the top of the tripod and tighten it into position so that the camera does not fall out of the tripod holder, when carrying it around. Mickey also told us where the on and off button are, how to focus the camera correctly, where the memory cards must be inserted and how to zoom in and out (although he advised that zooming in and out creates poor effect when filming some footage.)
