RESEARCH - 180 degree rule

The 180 degree rule is very important and will be taken into consideration when our group films the opening of our thriller. Here is an example of a picture that represents this:

The 180 degree rule claims that when filming, the camera should stay on one side of an imagery line.
It is important that the 180 degree rule is not broken in for example, over the shoulder shots. If it is broken in this case, (the individual that is being filmed is talking to someone eles) the person would be looking in the opposite direction which will confuse the audience and overall it wont look professional.

The 180 degree rule is mainly broken when there is camera movement such as a panning shot. If the identical line is crossed then the audiences viewing experience will be disappointing.

It is important that when our group is filming, we don't break the 180 degree rule as it will make our film look unprofessional and will put the meaning context of the scene look unorganised and confusing.
