Thrillers consist of different sub-genres such as political, crime, religious and many more types of thrillers but the one that inspires me the most to create our opening of our thriller film is mystery/ supernatural. the reason for this is that this sub-genre springs a lot of ideas on what we can base the plot on where as a conspiracy or disaster thrillers are quite varied on what type of plot it will consist of plus it is easier to find a suitable location for a mystery or supernatural thriller near by our college. the target audience is quite distinctive, it would be aimed at around 15 - 30 year old people although it is aimed at both genders which is important. if it was a crime thriller or techno thriller it would be striktley aimed at the male gender. One modern example of a mystery thriller is Shutter Island.
