Our film is a horror based thriller, we aimed our thriller towards 15 - 25 year olds. the reason for such a narrow target audience is that we aimed to pack the thriller opening with tension, suspense, and horror which appeals to mainly teens and young adults.
We thought of a target audience between 12 - 25 but we had to base our audience on our content in the thriller and due to the violence, weapons and blood we could not aim any lower than 15. Some of the weapons and scenes we used conveyed violence for example we used a hammer and a hacksaw blade. other props consist of fake blood, steel nails, a chair and a tie which was used to tie the victims hands.
The gender we are aiming towards are males, this is down to the fact that our film contains strong horror content and also our antagonist is a male and dominates women. this does not really appeal to female audience as normally films such as romantic thrillers and psychological thrillers appeal to them more.
